ePMP1000 SMwill connect over wireless link, but not local Ethernet.

Hey,

I'm having an issue with my ePMP1000 in SM mode. It is set up in bridge mode and is fully connected. We recently changed the IP and subnet of the network that this SM is operatig on. Since we have changed it, I can no longer access it via the ethernet port on the POE injector (note that power is being supplied), but I can access it via the new IP over the Wireless Link (I.e. from AP to SM).

We also cannot send any information from the SM side network to the SM.

Firmware is 3.5.1. This only happened after changing the management IP of the SM.

Things I have tried:

  • Changing it to router mode and then back to bridge to try and fix any issue that may have cased it.
  • Tried accessing the SM by plugging into it's POE injector and setting a manual IP on several devices, none would work.
  • Setting most settings back to factory defaults.

I'm hoping not to have to do a factory reset because this specific SM tends to be a pain when attempting to reset via a power surge (and it's -45 outside).

Any ideas?

There is a power sequence factory reset procedure, you follow the steps and goes back to factory settings.

I've attempted to do that as well, unfortunately it still does not communicate with the SM. It's weird, I can still access it from both that IP and the Wireless IP from the network on the AP side.

I'm aware of how to do a power reset, unforunately the last three times I've done it on this specific SM it tends to brick it until I physically push the reset button. I know I'll have to climbup there to get it done, I'm trying to avoid that at this point.

Same problem, was this ever resolved or is Bridge mode not supported?

I never did get it resolved. It appeared to have to do with changing specific settings in a specific order. When I did changes two at a time, save and update, it stopped creating this issue. It may have been resolved in a firmware update since.
