GPS stops working

We are having a horrible time with the external GPS on our ePMP. They will just stop working, all our customers will be disconnected. Once we reboot the AP the GPS starts working again and clients connect.

Running 3.5.6. Our GPS time out is set to 864000

We have just had to turn it off for now.

Try unplugging the external GPS and use the integrated antenna. Lastly, and this is what we do, we also use a PacketFlux rackinjector to provide backup sync to our Cambium radios.

Is there a known issue with the external GPS?

Kind of... the external GPS puck can be too sensitive and can pickup interference from other sources, like nearby cellular radios. There's been a lot of talk about this in the forums if you do a search for "ePMP GPS puck". HERE is one such thread discussing this issue.

For what it's worth, it's not an issue that affects everyone, everywhere.  We always use the GPS Pucks and as far as I know, we've never had a GPS lose sync due to noise, ever, since the first 1000 we deployed. But as Eric says, there are others who find that disconnecting the external antenna solves their intermittent issue. :)
