Ios 11 new feature coming soon

Hi. IOS 11 seems like going to release a feature to share their wifi connection password over the air. This is good for user who enjoy the internet for free. Please read the below artile for more detail. It might not official yet but what if it's real?

Somehow on security aspect, we have to do something to prevent this for those paid client and share amongs other device which is not paid for the internet.

Anyone please advice? or any suggestion?

Thanks.

this feature appears to be aimed towards users of wpa2-pre-shared-key networks, typically in a home environment. If wpa2-psk is being used in an enterprise this does open it up to potential security issues (by social engineering a user on the network), but we recommend the use of RADIUS/802.1x for Enterprises.

For paid wifi typically access is restricted by a captive portal and tied to the MAC address of the device authenticating. So it should not be affected by this feature in iOS 11.

Thank you for posting this, we will check this out as soon as iOS 11 is released.
