What attenuation values do we use for obstructions?

LINKPlanner models the link’s propagation with diffraction if there are obstacles in the path.

LINKPlanner calculates the obstruction loss according to the multiple knife edge model in ITU-R P526-10.

LINKPlanner doesn’t differentiate the loss based on the type of obstruction or whether it is an isolated tall obstacle where the signal may just as easily go around the obstruction as over the top. This is typical of all 2D planning tools.

LINKPlanner doesn’t model propagation through obstructions. For tools that do model loss through foliage, the user has to define the loss for the type of foliage, which is complex for the average user to deal with.
