Problem with bad connection

Hi,

we are having many problems with some clients that conect badly the cables, like for example conect the cable of the SM of our company to the Lan ports of other router of other company, with the consequence that our SM is connected to the port Lan of a router of other company with traffic, and with the result that the SMs or clients of the same APs have problems. Is there a solution, or Configuration parameter in the SM por block that?

Yes, this is easily solved.

On the offending SM (we do this as the default configuration for all our SMs), go to Configuration -> Protocol Filtering, and make sure the checkbox for Bootp Server is checked on. That will prevent a Bootp/DHCP server connecting through your SM's  LAN port from sending packets to other devices connected to your AP.
