For example, let's assume two APs need to be co-located, but they cover a different range and have a different channel BW and number of contention slots. They both have a 75% duty cycle.

The checks at the bottom of the tool need to be both satisfied for co-location to be possible. In this case, there is interference when the first AP is still transmitting but the second AP has started receiving.

If the duty cycle of the second AP is changed to 78%, there is no longer overlap between transmit and receive times:

Note that the throughput value refers to 8x modulation (256QAM MIMO-B) and it is for reference only. The actual sector capacity depends on the distribution of the SMs in the sector (which affects the modulation level used by the SM), and the traffic type (which SMs generate more traffic, for example) . Similarly, for PTP links the actual throughput depends on the distance between the Master and Slave.

This tool can be used also to co-locate an AP with one or more PTP links. For example, let's assume a PTP link is already installed, and it is using a 50% duty cycle. An AP can be co-located also using 50% duty cycle, with no overlap between transmit and receive times.

However, for the AP, a larger duty cycle is preferable. How large a duty cycle can be selected before interference occurs with the PTP link? The co-location tool shows that the duty cycle can be selected as high as 60% without impacting the PTP link:
