PTP300/500 - 9 Y/O LINK 91km LINK STATUS

Hi,

This is our oldest PTP300/500 link running at a distance of 91km. This is a last mile connection for a TELCO MPLS circuit. Maintenance has been conducted every 6 months in order to check everything including cables and connectors, spectrum and so on.

Just notice then this status of the spectrum - resulting to large swing below of the target capacity of 12Mbps.

Can someone analyse the spectrum and give any recommendations we can do to at least correct the issue.

Many thanks,

Gerry

Hi Gerry,

We are looking into this and will get back to you shortly

Thanks

Hi Gerry,

From the review of the Screen shot we see there is some interference( based on the Length of the Black I line) in Local Receive Channel Sprectrum at 5632 MHz. This means there would be more degradation of throughout due to interference at Local Receive side. We can confirm this if we have snapshot of current Tx and Rx throughtput. On the Peer Receive Channel Spectrum , the 10 MHz channel looks good.

Suggestions:

1. Move the Local Receive Channel spectrum by 5 MHz to (5637-5647 MHz center frequency)

2. Since this unlicensed spectrum , interference from other radio cannot be mitigated. Hence constant montioring is required. PTP 670 which latest product has Dynamic Spectrum Optimization built in to can mitigate similar scenario by moving channel if it is hit with interference.

Please try suggestion 1 and let us know if the suitation improves.

Thanks

Sagar
