Curious why when using DFS that you can only use a maximum of 2 to 1 symmetry?

In a band where radar detection is required (i.e. a DFS band) we have to guarantee a high probability of detecting a radar. The PTP 670 ODU monitors for radar signals during the receive portion of the TDD frame.There is always a possibility that successive radar pulses could occur when the ODU is not listening. Symmetry settings beyond 2:1 or 1:2 result in a low duty cycle for the receive window one end of the link, and thus unacceptable radar detection performance.
