wont go past 100mbps

hello.

Wer have a 650 that for some reason locked into 100mbps and not 1000mbps full duplex that it used to be. we had a long term power outage ( 8 hours) and since then it wont go past 100. Would there be anything that can be done or does it sound like a power injector issue and is in need of replacement?

Hi,

Have you tried the cable test function on the PTP 650?

Mark

Not yet but ill try shortly. We did notice the shielded eithernet ends in the lightning arrestor were corroded and look like they took the power surge. will most likely change out the cables. Is there another surge box that will work other than the 600 dollar one cambium makes?

I'm pretty sure you can use the Gigabit Ethernet Surge Suppressor Model C000000L033A. It retails for like $60.

Well, the internal circuit of C000000L033A is similar to the C000065L007A, so the basic protection function is essentially the same.

Advantages of the C000065L007A are:

- IP67 dust and water ingress makes it more suitable for exposed locations, for example on a tower

- Has a heater to prevent condensation and build up of moisture

- The cable gland provides optimum grounding and strain relief when used with the recommended outdoor cable.
