New Forum

No red bars here, either.  Using Chrome on Windows and Linux.

I'll second the comment about a lack of contrast being an issue too.

No red bars... only a sea of white that makes everything difficult to read...

I'm probably being a noob, but how to I tell if there are new messages in a thread?  There used to be a 'new' column...

There's a red bar on the left of the post/thread. That means its a new post or has new messages.

I don't see any red bar...

Hi Mathew,

Do you not see something like this?

another example from the cnMaestro forum:

I do not see a red bar either, on my desktop nor my mobile.

Hi.  Is there any progress on this?  Or is there any way we can switch back to the previous 'classic' layout until this is solved?  I'm feeling kinda lost in here, without any way to know which of the forum threads contain new replies.
Thanks.

This whole mobile-friendly layout makes horribly inefficient use of screen space on real computers, too.....

Hello again. Is there any update on this issue, or any tricks or suggestions?  The forums haven't worked for a couple weeks and I'd like to read the recent traffic.  Thanks.

Hello.  I'm getting no reply or feedback on this.  For me, these forums are essentially non-usable. At the least, I have no way to tell what is new, what is read - and where the new traffic is.  I realize that change requires pain, but the new forum changed about a month ago... and for me, this forum is essentially broken since then.

Ya I have found also that I have stopped frequenctly visiting these forums since the changes.

It's just to (white) bright and does my eyes in. Especially after starting at a computer all day, this is just blaring.

Thanks for the posts. The system should be operating OK now. While the design has improved the ability to read content on tablets and devices, I hear the feedback about the appearance on a PC. We are looking at solutions.

Thanks Ray. An earlier Cambium post stated about 40% use their mobile devices to browse the forums; although the new interface is fantastic on mobile, the remaining majority (60%) of us on PC now have a pretty unreadable interface.

No, not working OK for me at all. For me, it's unusable. I have stopped being able to use it.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT THREADS HAVE NEW TRAFFIC / CONTENT IN THEM?  HOW DO I FIND THE 209 NEW UNREAD POSTS?

I am working with our developers to find out about this.

I don't use my phone for productivity work like this - tying something long woth my thumbs isnjust going to happen. However, I though I'd try it to see how good the phine designed interface works and I still.cant findnwhere to see which threads contain new pists.

The old forums had a jumber beside eaxh thread with the number of undead posts, so that id know what was new since my last visit. Idint see that info anywhere now, mobilenor ndesktop.

So Im not just complaining about a dislikeof the color scheme.e , im basically unable to decipher what is newn old or updates or answered.

Hello Ray. The 'New Forums' thread was started November 9th 2017. That's almost 3 month's ago.  You said you were 'working to find out about this' nearly 2 month's ago. Is there any ETA on when the forums will be working again? Thank you.

We are working with a developer on this now. I should have an ETA for you soon.

We have added a new feature on the home page showing unread posts. You may need to refresh your browser to see it.

Ray

Hi Ray.  I appreciate that you've worked on this. :)

Where is this?  In the previous forum, there was a column showing how many 'new posts' since the last time I'd read each thread.  Can you include a screen shot showing where I'm supposed to see that info now? Thanks.

Hi - Check on the home page of the community and it should appear on the right just below latest topics and posts.

Hi agian.  So, I'm looking at the forum screens and I don't see it any better. Maybe I'm seeing cached content or something?  In forums up until the beginning of Nov 2017, there was columns for each thread showing the title/subject, a column for how many replies, and so on like there is now - but there was a column showing me how many 'new posts' there were in each thread since last time I read that thread.  I don't see that info anywhere, so none of us have any idea anymore which threads we need to read.  Unless I'm being a total noob and just not seeing it - which is just as likely. :)

So, for the last 3 months, all we have is a a line that says "Latest post Tuesday by CWB" and we have to say to ourselves:  "did I read that thread already?  Have I logged in since Tuesday or have I been too busy?  Hmmm... I better go into that thread and see if I read it or not.  MAN, IT WOULD BE GOOD IF THEIR FORUM SOFTWARE KEPT TRACK OF WHAT I'D READ LIKE IT ALWAYS USED TO!"   ;)

I mean, yes - I can see the big number on one of the top level screen showing me that I have 503 unread posts, but no way that I can see to tell which posts those are anymore.
