1.6.0 r5 Onprem - System Dashboard

First - Great work - Quite useful

Alarms widget - Problem?

It appears that there may be a broken link.  When one hovers over the bar graphs, the curser chanes to the "Hand".  On all the other locations where the cursor changes thus, performing a left click calls up a different page.  Device details, inventory, etc.

Connection Health widget - Cosmetic, but more useful

Suggest changing from dual line graphs with left scaling to dual bar graphs with Offline scale to the left and Total Devices scale to the right.  The scale is broken into quarters of the max.  This is ok, but maybe "fill" by quarter or less, half or less, three quarter or less and max, with the pop up showing the actual counts, as it currently does.  This makes it easier to note small changes in ofline conditions as the Total Devices count grows.

Devices By Type widget - Cosmetic, but more useful

Suggest bargraphs "fill" by quarter or less, half or less, three quarter or less and max, with the pop up showing the actual counts, as it currently does.  This makes it easier to note small changes in ofline conditions as the Total Devices count grows.

Cosmetic, but nitpicky?

Suggest displaying AP graphs to the left of the SM graphs to maintain hierarchy as on, and standardization with,  the other pages.

Map widget - Feature request

Display of SMs by AP, as on the Tower Map page, but with the capability of toggling them on the Installed Access Points pop up - Actually, this is a beneficial feature on all maps displaying APs

Cosmetic, but more useful

Arrange the Installed Access Points pop up by AP device name - Can't tell how the APs are currently arranged

Again great work and "ATTA BOYS" to all on this release!

Hi Luis,

Thanks so much for going through the new UI and your feeback will help us improve the product in future.

We will work on the issue you mentioned for alarm widget (for the health widget & device by type widget display i will check with our UI designer on usalibility side if there is any reason why not to use bargraphs with "fill")

For some of the items like toggling display of SMs in MAP is under discussion and we will bring it in next version soon (apart from this we are also working on frequency visualization for PMP APs)

Thanks again for your feedback.

Rupam

Thanks again.

Bar or line graph not that important.  With only 24 data points, I think bars display nicer.  The important part, is the dual scaling of the graph, making low number of offline devices easier to discern.  With only 52 total devices, it's already hard to tell that one or two are offline.  I can't imagine that the offline points would be of much use when total device counts grow beyond 100.

Forgot to ask -

What is the difference between the Alarms and Recent Alarms widget?

Currently the Alarms widget is displaying a couple of alrms, but the Recent Alarms widget is not populated.

The Alarms widget provided the current alarm count and alarm count history.

The Recent Alarms widget is supposed to be "Top Alarms" but is mislabeled.  This is being tracked and will be fixed.  This widget gives the top six alarms weighted by severity and device type.  This gives infrastructure alarms more weight than edge devices.

Thanks
