Configuring PMP AP and SM for stable connection with cnMaestro under Huge Traffic

This KB article provides the details of Configuring PMP AP and SM for stable connection with cnMaestro under Huge Traffic

Problem Statement :-

Under huge traffic(If the traffic reaches the full DL/UL ratio settings) then PMP AP/SM looses the connectivity with cnMaestro due to 5 consecutive ping pong loss and will not be able to connect back to cnMaestro

Solution :-

Following VLAN and QOS Settings needs to be done in PMP AP and SM to make the cnMAestro connection stable under Huge Traffic

1) In the PMP SM go to Configuration->VLAN Settings page and under the VLAN Configuration  , set the Management VID to other then VLAN 1  and the priority to 7 which is the Highest Priority. By doing this settings under High Traffic , Management Traffic will be given high priority and there will be no cnMaestro connectivity loss . Connection gets lost also, the connection will be re established within 5 minutes.

2) In the PMP AP go to Configuration->VLAN Settings page and under the VLAN Configuration Enable the VLAN , set the Management VID to other then VLAN 1  and the priority to 7 which is the Highest Priority. By doing this settings under High Traffic , Management Traffic will be given high priority and there will be no cnMaestro connectivity loss .

Connection gets lost also, the connection will be re established within 5 minutes.

3) In the PMP SM go to Configuration->QOS Settings page and enable the High Priority Channel under the

Priority Settings in 15.1.3 Version

4) In the PMP SM go to Configuration->QOS Settings page and enable the Low/Medium/High/Ultra High Priority Channels under the Priority Settings in 15.2 Version

6) In the PMP AP Configuration->QOS Settings page and set the Management Data Priority Level to High under the Priority Settings(Applicable for both 15.1.3 and 15.2 device Software Versions)
