Decision: cnMaestro On-Premises or Cloud?

Scenario: Setting up a Cambium network to offer wi-fi to rural communities. Under what circumstances would an ISP use cnMaestro on-premises and when is cloud-based a better solution? How does AWS fit into the cloud solution?

AWS (Amazon Web Services) has nothing to do with it, unless you decide you want to set up an AWS server hosting the on-premises cnMaestro image.  Cloud-based would be a "better" solution if you don't have a local machine robust enough to host virtual servers, or don't want to get involved in setting one up.

To be clear, 'Cloud-based' cnMaestro is running in the "cloud" run by Cambium.

Beyond that, there are some mostly-minor differences in features and limitations between the two, which I'm not equipped to itemize.

I found some of the info in the cnMaestro 1.6.0 User Guide, https://support.cambiumnetworks.com/file/7ea30a9b7da0ce9c52fd785299cd11e71af8ab03, but would appreciate any further information about which type is recommended for which type of ISP.

A post was split to a new topic: Requirements for running cnMaestro Cloud
