First make a note of the serial number.
Go to “Inventory” and remove device (click the x).
Go to “Wi-Fi AP Groups” and go to the group where the access point was previously located.
Click on the “APs” tab and then click “Claim New AP”.
Once onboarded, you can sync configuration and the LED should turn blue.

Why led has to turn blue if it was working good when it was green? And it never turned blue since I configured it at first time!
Ok. I jus did what you told me to and aproved the device, but it didn't appers as claimed yet. It shows "waiting for device" under Onboard tab.

If the LED is green it means it's configured in standalone mode.
If the LED is blue it means it's managed with cnMaestro.
Both will work, it just depends on if you want to use cnMaestro or not.
If it still hasn't connected it might be worth checking that the AP can access cloud.cambiumnetworks.com.
Were you prevously able to see the AP in cnMaestro and if so was the LED blue or geen?

Yes. I could se it at cloud.cambiumnetworks.com. and the light was green all the time. Why, after claiming it again, it is still waiting for device?

That's strange it was my understanding that once onboarded to cnMaestro the LED should turn blue.
Might be worth asking Cambium support for some assistance and inviting them to your cnMaestro.

And do you know why it shows waiting for device instead of onboarded?

This is because cnMaestro and your E410 aren’t talking to each other. But I don’t know why they aren’t taking to each other.

I have forwarded this to our support and product teams. They should respond soon.
What is the application where the e410 is installed (school, business?)
thanks

Just in my house. It's linked by wire to a cable modem which I turned off the radios. So I configured E410 as bridge and it works as my AP. It is still providing me wifi signal.

can you please log into the GUI of the AP, and on the dashboard check what it says for "cnMaestro Connection Status". In the "Access Point Info" section (the first box on the main dashboard page) this will be the last-but-one item.
If that does not give some clear information, then under "troubleshoot" in the GUI, click on "Connectivity" and try a ping to "cloud.cambiumnetworks.com" to see if that can resolve and ping ok.
If that is also ok, then under "Troubleshoot" click on "Logs" and in the page that opens up, select the "Debug logs" tab. It has a 'start logs' button: click that, then after about a minute print "stop logs". See if those logs indicate something about a connection to cloud.cambiumnetworks.com failing (or copy-paste them here).
If that still does not work (or even without trying the troubleshooting) you can open a case at support.cambiumnetworks.com and you can submit a support ticket by clicking the top right corner of that page. PLease attach your tech-support file to teh support case (you can download it under: "Operations" in the GUI)

thank you for doing this, it is very helpful. Looks like the problem is the AP is not able to resolve cloud.cambiumnetworks.com to an IP address.
Is your AP getting all its IP settings from the cable modem (IP address, gateway and DNS server), or have you configured it with a static IP?

In VLAN it's IP Static with 192.168.0.xx (number I choose) and Routing and DNS is Default Gateway of the modem (192.168.0.1).

Ok, the DNS resolution through 192.168.0.1 should have worked… could you please see if setting DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 instead allows the ping to cloud.cambiumnetworks.com from the AP troubleshooting page, to go through? Also, can you ping 192.168.0.1 from that troubleshooting page? (since Internet access is working ok for you I assume it is, but just to make sure).

DNS is given from modem and I can’t change that, it doesn’t permit it. At the beginning, when configuring e410 I put the Open DNS numbers on it (I’m not sure if I put them in right place) and I think it caused a kind o conflict with modem. Besides when I use Namebench to measure what’s the better DNS to use, it shows that ISP one is the fastest.

I tried what you told me to and put 8.8.8.8 as DNS on E410. After that ping was OK but the E410 lost its configuration, including SSID, returning to cnPilot also wifi connection. As I was working through wifi, I had to connect an Ethernet cable to it in order to configure again. For my surprise, after configuring it, I ping and it was OK. So I checked cnMaestro and E410 is onboard. The led is blue at this moment.

Ok glad to see the AP is onboarded. One possibility for what happened is on putting the 8.8.8.8, the AP reached cnMaestro, was onboarded ok, and cnMaestro pushed down configuration. When you have reconfigured this AP now, have you done it through cnMaestro or from the AP GUI? Using cnMaestro is recommended. If you use AP GUI please make sure you don’t ‘sync’ config through Maestro or enable cnMaestro auto-sync else it will wipe out the AP side changes, replacing it with what is configured in cnMaestro (WLAN, AP-group, IP settings etc). You can still use Maestro for monitoring and alarms

Unfortunately, I configured it from GUI. I didn’t know about that. And again, unfortunately, I pushed the sync on Maestro, but it told me it couldn’t sync because I configured it from GUI. But it’s working fine. Is there anything I can do in order to don’t experience the same issue again?
