Flex mode vs fixed frame airtime for weak SM

I know that when an ePmP AP is run in fixed frame mode, it measns that an SM with a weak signal won't 'drag down' the capacity of the AP (i.e. use more aritime like a UBNT M series will)

Can anyone tell meif you run the AP in flex mode that you still get this benefit or will it use whatever airtime it needs to get the download?

Thanks

Andy

Although i cant answer the exact question you are asking, i will say the downside to Flex mode is you lose GPS sync

"Airtime Fairness" is active in both Flexible and Fixed frame mode. Therefore, in both modes, a weak SM will not drag down the sector capacity of the AP.
