Excellent, will spectrum analyzer also be in online mode for other ePMP products?
How does it work, do we need to open a specific port on FW or does it work over https?

Regards

It is running just over http/https.
We are looking to add it to ePMP1000/2000 products but it will take some time.

Thank you.

Nice!

Can it be run on a customer's SM over the air?  In other words, when a customer calls in with a performance issue, can we stay in the store and do a SA remotely from his site, without having to drive to his house?

Yes, spectrum scanning can be performed over the air.

Specifically dedicated radio is used for Spectrum Analyzer.

Thank you.

Would that be also possible with ePMP180/200?

Yes this is possible. But, as Fedor said, it will take time. The goal is to get rid of the java app and embed directly into the GUI. We are also looking into how we can get it to work via remote access (without needing to be plugged into the radio/SM directly).

Thanks,

Sriram

Why not just do it like Canopy, and run a timed spectrum analysis where you can just look at the results after the connection comes back up? That would seem to me like it should be relatively simple to implement.

Yes, that is one of the options we're exploring as well. Another option would be to listen during free time in the Rx part of the frame. This will allow the SM to stay registered.

If say in a 20MHz channel, will you be able to hover over the results while displaying a shadow of where on the spectrum the 20MHz would be and display the Center Frequency on that area your hovering on?? Like in the image below (courtesy of a UBNT) Hope that make sense.

Would also be great to have the other Channel Width options as a tick box so you could look at them also.

Hi Chris,

Thank you for your input.
In first release we will not have that option implemented.
We will just highlight operational channels on the Spectrum Analyzer graph.
Video was captured when F300 was running in SM mode and it wasn’t associated with AP, that’s why operational channel is not highlighted on the video.
We already have scope of features for Spectrum Analyzer roadmap and your idea is also there.

Thank you.

HI,

Can we have a ePMP 3000 series thread now?? :)

Chris,

We are going just to expand current ePMP1000/2000 thread with ePMP3000/F300 content not to make forum too wide.

Thank you.
