As a security measure, when changing the administrator password via CLI (Command Line Interface), the device checks the newly configured password against the hostname (configured in the Device Name parameter). If the new password is either:
- equal to the configured hostname
- a substring of the configured hostname
- a doubled string of the configured hostname
- a reversed string of the configured hostname
then the password is rejected. Please choose a secure password which does not use the device's hostname as listed above.
