Starting 3.3 Release, new configurable option has been added to ePMP functionality.
With ePMP2000 with Smart and Sector Antenna connected, user can configure AP to force Sector or Smart Antenna. By default AP will operate in Auto mode where AP will perform Uplink Antenna selection using smart algorithm for each SM on throughput estimation basis.
Option can be found on Configuration -> Radio page on AP and SM.
In case Forced Secor/Smart Antenna is configured on AP, - every SM registered on it will operate through Sector/Smart Antenna.
Forced Antenna option also is available on SM.
In case Auto mode is configured on AP and Forced Antenna is configured on SM, AP will force particular Antenna for Uplink for dedicated SM.
Please note in case Forced Antenna is configured on both sides, option configured on AP side will have higher priority.
Uplink Antenna Selection option also has been added on Tools → Wireless Link Test page.
So user can verify and compare wireless throughput through Sector or Smart Antenna.
