Hi,

You can elevate your UBNT devices with ePMP ELevate firmware free.

Then you can register one Elevate unit with ePMP AP also free for testing purposes.

Then if you'd like to get more Elevate units registred on AP you have to use License Key on AP.

More details you can find here:

Thank you.

No, UBNT SM with ePMP Elevate Firmaware can be registered only on ePMP AP in TDD mode.

Thank you.

Srinimano, the 'Elevate' firmware for UBNT devices is only for the SM/CPE/Slave side of things.  Meaning that on the AP/Master side of things, you still need a genuine Cambium Access Point to co-ordinate the network. The AP is where most of the scheduling and GPS and 'Cambium Secret Sauce' happens, so the AP still needs to be a Cambium device.

So, in a PTP setting, you could in theory make a link using a Cambium AP/Master and an Elevated UBNT SM/Slave... but your options and operating modes and cost savings would be limited trying to do so.  Elevate is ideally suited for the WISP who has a UBNT Sectors and 20 clients, and by just changing the AP/Sector and installing firmware/licenses over the air, they can get the benefits or a Cambium network, without having to do 20 truck roll's, and without nearly the cost. Many WISP's are reporting doubling network performance on their first Elevated sector, and more increased benefits later as they are able to reuse frequencies and save spectrum down the road.

However, in a straight PTP setting, you'd need to change the AP/Master side anyway to Cambium gear, and the cost/truck-roll advantages wouldn't be the same. :)
