10G SFP+ other vendors

Given the shortage and longer delivery time of 10G sfp+ (SM) modules from our distributor, I would like to share information on how maxlink and extralink modules are compatible with cnmatrix switches.

Both vendors contain Transceiver type info.

This is only for info if someone will ever need it since we ordered the modules without a guarantee that the modules will be compatible (not advertised by other vendors).

Hi just wanted to say thanks for this.
As you say getting optics in a hurry is a minefield these days and it’s difficult for a OEM to test their equipment against every optic available in the industry.

Reports like these make life much easier for poor admins like us.

I can report that I had luck with both the Mikrotik Direct-Attach (XS+DA0001) and their copper modules ( S+RJ10). I don’t think the S-RJ01 modules worked, however.

I had not tested any of their fiber modules.
