16.0.0.1 link test some users with 0 bps uplink?

Upgraded a production 450m and all subs to 16.0.0.1 went smoothly but noticed some oddities, when i did a full link test (0 multi-user test) I noticed there were a number of users that showed 0bps as uplink and 0.0x for receive rate.

Bug or issue or .... nothing?

Hi CSup,

In the Statistics->'Sounding Statistics' page what did these users have for Sounding State (should be TRACKING) and MU-MIMO rate (should be something other than N/A or not eligible).

Are all the SMs running 16.X software ?

best regards,

Andy.

Everyone is 16.0.0.1

Some are tracking but some are not tracking, some show as assessing and some as untrusting and one has tracking but not eligible

The not eligible i believe is due to poor signal shes getting 1x at -75 so possibly thats her issue...

004 677 -20.8, 31.6 TRACKING 8X/4X MIMO-B ASSESSING N/A
032 410 -33.9, 18.5 TRACKING 8X/1X MIMO-A TRACKING Not Eligible
009 141 -46.1, 6.3, 58.6 TRACKING 8X/8X MIMO-B TRACKING 8X/6X MIMO-B
022 299 -39.0, 13.4 TRACKING 8X/2X MIMO-B TRACKING 8X/2X MIMO-B
053 161 -45.2, 7.2, 59.5 UNTRUSTED N/A UNTRUSTED N/A
045 251 -41.2, 11.2 TRACKING 8X/4X MIMO-B ASSESSING N/A

Thanks CSup,

That accounts for some of them showing 0bps but not all, although things may be changing quickly.

If you want me to look in more detail.

Run the Multi LUID link test Bi-directional 10 seconds, then capture IP_ADDRESS/field_diags.cgi as soon as you can afterwards.

Send the diags over to andrew.rimmer@cambiumnetworks.com and I will see what is there.

reference this post so I know what I'm looking for :)

best regards,

Andy.

shot you an email with engineering and field_diags to take a gander at from after a linktest

I'm having a similar issue. Multiple customers on a 365 450m went from 8x8 and 8x6 on the uplink to 8x1. Every customer that is now 8x1 is showing "assessing" on the uplink sounding state.

The AP was always running 16.0.0.1. Customers were initally running 15.1.3 and 15.1.5 mixed. The problem appeared after upgrading all the customers to 16.0.0.1.

That’s different than my issue mine just appears to be a issue with linktest results for a couple users which we think is due to me under assigning contention slots but haven’t tested that theory yet

Hi Kevin,

A little bit different but I've got your diags file and will go through it.

best regards,

Andy.
