4500/4600 TDD/6ghz AFC support?

I know Cambium said Q4 was the estimate for TDD firmware along with 6ghz FCC AFC support, but we are close to the end of Q4 and I was wondering if there was an update on this?

As to all things with the FCC, it’s anyone’s best guess as to when things will be done. That being said, AFC field tests with Qualcomm are happening now… so we’re in the final stretch.

As to the TDD firmware, that’s been available via beta in the 5.6 release train for awhile now. While it does technically work, and some operators are using it in production, there are still some issues, with some operators (like myself) experiencing bouts of high latency and jitter, and sometimes even packet loss with poorly modulation SM’s. These issues still need to be resolved, but the ePMP team is making good progress. If you’d like to test the TDD firmware build, you should reach out to @Fedor or @Chinmay_K and I’m sure they can hook you up with a build.

Thanks.

@Fedor How does one go about becoming part of the beta FW program?

Please see the page how to join the Beta program.

You can drop me the letter if you’d like to get the latest firmware.
