We are seeing downlink throughput tests way below what the link test is showing. The link is 4.15 miles and the noise at the AP is higher than typical for 6 GHz, so those may be the issue. But, it’s an AP with only 1 SM and the customer was gone during the day today so I ran multiple tests on multiple channels. AP & SM are both on 5.10.0 software. RSSI is -73/70 Throughput tests are Mikrotik speed tests on hap ax2 at customer to 4011 at tower. In general, on 80 MHz channel downlink on link test was 350-450 Mbps. TCP downlink speeds were 75-110M. UDP downlink was 200-250M. In the uplink, both TCP and UDP speeds were right on the link tests. Results pasted below are from the best channel combo, which was asymmetric 80/40M.
Link test:
tcp-download: 122Mbps local-cpu-load:17%
tcp-upload: 40.2Mbps local-cpu-load:3% remote-cpu-load:4%
udp-download: 237Mbps local-cpu-load:11% remote-cpu-load:16%
udp-upload: 36.5Mbps local-cpu-load:2% remote-cpu-load:2%
I am seeing 10-12 % retransmissions in the uplink, which could explain part of the discrepancy. Only 1% retrans in the downlink.
