5.4GHz AP locking up

I’ve been having issues with a new 5.4GHz AP totally locking up on me until I power cycle the unit. I’ve upgraded the firmware to 8.2.1 and I’m still having the same problems.

I’m thinking of switching out all the cabling, POE and AP but I’m not convinced that’s going to solve the issue.

The only other thing that seems suspicious right now is that the AP points to a client that is right beside the airport. However, if the AP detected radar and triggered the dfs why wouldn’t i just lose the SM and not both the AP and SM? There’s only one SM linked to the AP right now and I’ve got it configured with a vlan. When I check the interface stats on the cisco port its plugged in to, it says the ethernet link is still up, however the tx counters still increment slowly.

If you can think of anything please let me know. Details of the link follow:

All units should have 8.2.1 software. Set the Ethernet speed to 100 FDX only on both of them.

When the DFS is on you should have access to the AP.

Thats right solution to 8.2x. Tried and tested.
