Anyone know where the new 6.1 firmware is posted?

Thought I was going mad. Invited to join the "Knowledge Session" which I was unable to join?

Checked all day yesterday for the upgrade, no joy?

Confused & Bewildered, to say the least!!!

 I’ve been looking. On MOL and Canopy site. No go, man. I am rather disappointed.

I’m gonna raise a little hell  in the knowledge session today.

Aaron

My guess is that somebody got spooked about us stranding SMs and so it was delayed until after the session today… either that or someboday found a last minute bug in the code.

We have some advantage AP’s here wanting to go on the tower, but it would be nice to be able to test how well they work with the new firmware before spending the time or money to put them on the tower! hint hint

Attended the session this morning. They said the firmware would be out by the end of next week. Possibly on Wednesday. Also, you should go ahead and install your Ad APs, then just do the firmware upgrade. Oh, and you have to use the CNUT to do it. If you have not downloaded the CNUT recently, you may have to visit the site again and see if you need the addon that is needed to upgrade your network to 6.1.

Motorola promise the upgrade 6.1 for December 15:

"Dear Canopy Channel Members and Canopy Service Providers,

Canopy Software Release 6.1 will be available for download on Wednesday, 15 December 2004 on the Canopy Website. This new software release delivers the new features for the Canopy Advantage AP products. These features include reduced latency and increased throughput, as well as expanded features such as Committed Information Rate, VLAN and an audio alignment tone. These features are available across the 2.4 GHz, 5.2 GHz and 5.7 GHz product lines. "

They are playing with our feelings

If they would at least post documentation describing the new feature set and explaining the meaning of all settings within the devices… and perhaps a complete explaination of all of the statistics and error messages that show up in the event logs. For example:

This is a new event log entry on a 900 MHz Ap running 6.0 with hardware sync. My request for an explaination resulted it being told that it is "The messages in the event log are just informative messages the engineers left in. They are not an indication of a problem."
