Just came out this afternoon…
Should help if you had 8.1.5 and there were Ethernet Port lock-ups…
Good Luck!!!
From the release notes, it also looks like they resolved the NAT issue that caused constant resets and dumps.
I’m not sure that it does that exactly:
When the old SM (using NAT) was rebooted, the NAT function would begin to hand out ‘duplicate’ IP addresses (which could be bad!!!)…they fixed ‘that’…
If “that” is what you mean, then yes…
You seem to be referring to 4711, I’m hoping that ID 4782 is the issue we fought, and that it’s fixed. We don’t use the DHCP client, but everything else is pretty descriptive of the setup and the error that we saw.
I’ll be testing 8.2 on a spare AP and SM until Sunday night. If all goes well on the small scale test, I’ll upgrade one of my sites and see what happens.
I’ll report anything helpful that I find here.
Does this include the magical increase in AP packet per second capability?

Yes - though they state 3800pps instead of 4000pps on the upgraded units. I'm assuming the P10s running 8.2 will achieve the 4500pps like stated in the last webinar.
the 4500 pps was mentioned (I hope) as some of the speeds that were reached on the beta software…that beta stuff had several functions ‘offloaded’…so the fully-loaded software (8.2) will be 3800 pps for the present…
Well it seems like not all NAT issues have been resolved…

I know that this is off topic but it is just amazing what a small world we live in.
Here I am browsing a very specialized forum and I find that someone from a small island in the Mediterranean that most people don’t know is using the same system.
Its really cool to see that someone in Malta where I grew up and where I still have a lot of family is using the Canopy system! Just thought you would like to know that we are also deploying the Canopy system in Los Angeles.
I would be interested in finding out how the system has been working for you there.
