900 Interference Maybe

I have read the Product Alert about the 900 Re Reg issue while using Hardware scheduling. Out of 20 SM’s on this AP I have only 1 900 SM doing the Re Reg issue, could it be Interference?

Or is this Normal Activity?

That looks like what I was seeing when my 900SMs were running in hardware mode.

That SM is still running 6.x firmware though, any reason for that?

For my location, I’m finding that 900MHz has alot of interference floating around. You can see this by turning off your APs and using the spectrum analyzer on a SM.

The best explanation I’ve been able to come up with regarding the product alert is this: Canopy 900 MHz is normally very resistant to RF interference, the bug in HWS makes the modules very touchy. The slightest spike in your noise floor and it looses connectivity.

I’ve done extensive spectrum analysis at a few customer locations with my tower turned off and I do see alot of random spikes. Canopy can just deal with it most of the time (in software mode only, currently)
