About installing and configuring a PTP backhaul

The Canopy system Point-To-Point(PTP) link uses backhaul modules in either the 2.4 GHz, 5.2 GHz or 5.7 GHz bands. The 5.7 GHz employs a passive reflector to achieve a distance of greater than 20 miles.
The basic PTP link is made up of a backhaul timing master and a backhaul timing slave. The CMM plays an important part in the operation of the Canopy system. In most cases, the backhaul timing master must be connected to the CMM so that a GPS timing pulse can synchronize their timing cycles. If a backhaul timing module is not synchronized, then it may transmit during a receive cycle of the other modules and cause de-sensing or interference.
