Affordable alternatives to 900MHz?

Are there any affordable alternatives to 900 that would give either the same or better performance?

I know there is some 3.65GHz gear out there that is supposed to perform well in n/NLOS conditions, but what kind of range can you expect with them?

Stand by for 700MHz TV white space. this will give you high density AP’s with killer foliage penetration

I have heard great things about 3.65 but it’s not cheap at 6-10k/AP and 300/CPE

We've mainly concentrated on rural deployment but the thing I like about 3.65 is the high density APs would give us a path to attack the higher density populations. The cost could actually be a plus for us as noise will be low. I fear the 700MHz space will become just as dirty as 900MHz is, taking away much of the benefit it will give.

Any idea what kind of throughput can be expected with 700MHz?

No idea.

Throughput will be dependent on how they slice up the channels.
