Trying to get the most out of my single T1 before I upgrade - reviewing all options.
Does anyone out there use any kind of caching device for serving up cached web pages? If so, any remarks on how it performs?
Any data/information would be welcomed.

Mikrotik Router OS or Squid are both excellent choices. If you’re numbers are high, squid will be a better choice, as we find it able to handle big load (400+ clients) better. However, for a single T1, the MT solution will work great.
Can’t beat it for the money, and they will realistically save you about 10% bandwidth or more if your subscribers have similar browsing habits.
