AP and SM at different Live Channel size 40/20 Mhz


In actulal configuraiton of an dismissinal Delibreant versus ePMP1000 I have this scenario:

AP allows 40/20 Mhz channles

SM I put manually (depends on current location Noise of SM's) 20 or 40 mhz channel size htis way I have hte best Bandwidth/latency/noiseless possibble.

This is done for maximise MCS both in AP and SM but in ePMP 1000 it seems that I have to choose 40mhz or 20Mhz

to have an overall high rx/tx SNR/MCS for best possible bandwidth performance.

Could osmeone Illuminate me in this?


I'm not sure I fully understand the question.


With regards to channel size, you must pick 10, 20, or 40 MHZ on the AP, and the client must have the respective channel sizes selected in its scan list. As for why to choose a larger channel, if you have clear air and want to obtain more aggregate capacity on an AP 40MHZ could be an option. However, I find that in my RF deployment I see better total capacity with 2 APs on 20Mhz Channels.

My target is to as much bandwidth possible for every customer.
For this I want to leave to the SM the “desision” to force the better 40/20 channel size
