I have tried it with a number of different SMs just for you - no change. The link has two 18 digit authorization keys in it. My guess is a key generator that uses the MAC address.

ok, so if…
you could change the MAC of an SM to map the MAC of the AP that went funny then it may work…
now the key is probably used just to do the change…
so you may be able to change the MAC back afterwards…
ofcourse this is purely in the interst of educational and experimental purposes, I do not endorse any of my theories…
Guys, talking about modifying SMs to APs in a forum owned and controlled by Motorola is not a good idea.
