AP Omni Antenna L-Com HG5158DP-13U

Hi Linkplanner

v4.7.4 includes the L-Com HG5158DP-13U (a dual-polar 13dBi omni) as an Access Point antenna but only for the 5.8GHz band.

The actual device is spec'd for 5150 - 5850 and the polar plots are pretty consistent across that.  Datasheet attached. 

Would it be possible for an update to LinkPlanner to allow its use on 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 5.8GHz ?

Hi Steve,

When we reviewed the data provided by L-com for the lower bands, we were not comfortable that the antenna would perform well for our customers in the lower bands, which is why we have restricted the use of the antenna. The polar plot shown in the spec sheet matches the performance for the 5.8 GHz band. I have not seen any polar plots for the other bands.
