I need to put up some backhaul point to point links.
What should I use the Backhaul units or one AP with one SM. What is the difference between the 2 point to point configurations above. What would I benefit if I use the backhaul units instead of AP and SM?

Well depending on which BH you choose we used to do this with just an ap and sm but the problem was the sm could only run so many customers before things started to slow down. Also with a ap sm you will add a 20 ms delay unless you use the advantage platform. I would highly recomennd you use BH's when you can unless you are only going to run a few customers. but that just my opinion.
