In the below mentioned thread support indicated that they will be looking into some type of Bare bone image to bring a radio back up once the firmware has gone corrupt or inaccessible.

Yes, we are looking into this but please keep in mind that this type of recovery will only apply when the SW is corrupted for reasons such as where the power is interrupted during an upgrade procedure. You may have scenarios where there is fundamental HW failure.
