I’m batch updating 110 integrated units, and it takes a lot of time to warm-reboot each unit after the file is written to flash.
Can i just unplug the unit after the write-to-flash procedure, or a warm reboot is a necessary step in the upgrade process?
As long as you let the unit finish writing to flash AND it gets to the point where it prompts you for a reboot, you can go ahead and unplug the device. You don’t have to reboot to finish the upgrade process. The next time someone powers up the radio, it will come up with the new firmware.
