Every few days we have the ethernet port on the BH slave locking up. A recycle of the BH slave re-establishes the link. The RF side hangs in and all thats down is the ethernet side of the BH slave. The Lan cable from the BH runs through a lightning arrestor to a linksys switch. The switch has a computer and 5 digital video bridges to it. We’ve replaced the BH, the cable and the switch but to no avail. Any ideas/suggestions??
Make sure that 300SS is grounded WELL, preferably to the same ground as everything else, and to the building’s ground. If you have a poor ground with a 300SS, the problem you’re having will occur… I’ve seen it.
Also - force the negotiation speed and duplex in the BHS configuration.

The negotiation speed and duplex is set at 100baseT full duplex.
Ok. Have you looked at the Ethernet Stats? See any CRC errors, inErrors, outErrors, etc?
Release 7.1 has a fix for this. Page 12 of the 7.1 release notes comments on an Ethernet lockup issue.
