Can an ePMP3000 AP be used on an ePMP2000 antenna?

Simple question: Can an ePMP3000 AP be used on an ePMP2000 sector antenna? I know the chains would have issues, and MU-MIMO would be out of the question, but...

1) could it work? (and which antenna ports on the AP would be connected to the antenna?)

2) would it cause problems for the AP to run with two antenna connectors unplugged, or would it be best to run some a dummy load with a resistor?

The question is because we have a ton of subs using the older, N-based system, and we're trying to decide if we'll need two sets of spare AP types moving forward.

I am sure it would work, how well is the question. I would definitely use a dummy load on the unused ports.

Test it and let the community know how well it does or does not work.

Should be fine. Here's a response from Cambium from someone who asked the same question.

The question to which you linked was the opposite question - specifically, can a 4x4 ePMP 3000 antenna be used on a 2x2, ePMP 2000 AP? My question was about running a 3000 AP on a 2000 sector antenna.

Ehhhh... you could, but it wouldn't fit right (the 3000 is very large) and you'd have to use longer RF jumpers... it wouldn't be fun but you could do it. A much better fit would be a 3000L to 90/120 OEM sector (I assume you're talking about PN: C050900D021A)
