Can I successfully install a 30 foot monopole for a PTP?

We are wanting to install a Motorola PTP300 system to the customers main office. The landlord of the remote building is asking me if we can install a 30 foot fiberglass type monopole (from the top of the building), instead of a rooftop type tower. My biggest concern is the sway this thing might have. Has anyone done a monopole this high, and if so, how often and at what height would I guy this?

The reason the Landlord wants the monopole is it is less conspicuousis and he does not want the tower on the roof. Any recommendations would certainly be appreciated.

Thank you very much.

Joe

30’ guyed would work.

I wouldn’t try it unsupported - especially in Chicago…

Thanks Jerry, I may not have a choice. I’m somewhat limited as to where to guy this thing. The neighbors fence might just work. It is in a strip mall type setting.

Have you heard of anything else I might be able to use instead of a tower?

BTW… I was kidding about the fence.

Joe

Rohn self supporting. There are a number of options.

Hmm… Thats serious stuff. What about a flagpole type mast. Has anyone ever tried that?
Thank you.

how about a 40’ telescoping pole? already has rings on it to guy it with.
