Can we make the Management interface not accessible via the WAN IP address (NAT)?

On the PMP100 stuff it isn't even possible to access the Management interface via the WAN IP address. You can't even ping the WAN IP address unless you specifically enable "Allow Ping WAN Interface".  Allowing it to be accessable via the WAN IP address seems to defeat the entire reason for having a seperate management IP.

Is there a setting to disable this ?

Thanks

Hi,

Which software release is this and are you using PPPoE? When you say management interface is accessible, are you referring to only pings or are you referring to GUI/SNMP/CLI access?

In Release 2.5, we addressed an issue where management interface (GUI/SNMP/CLI) was accessible when PPPoE is enabled.

Lastly, can you please let us know if you are seeing this on the latest 2.5.1 release?

Thanks,

Sriram

Ahh we are running 2.4.3 on almost everything but I went and checked a couple of radios that we have updated to 2.5.1 and you're right  it no longer allows access to the management interface via the WAN IP address !

Thanks !
