Is there a way to put priority on certain packets, or priority on certain user on a 5700bh system? We have a customer being fed off of one of these; the slave is plugged into a switch, then his router and a public wifi hot spot are plugged into that, and I’m not sure his equipment can directly do anything about bandwidth usage… Is there a way in the Canopy to separate either by MAC or packet type or IP or whatever the max bandwidth being used by the router as opposed to the hotspot? The guy gets too many users on the wifi sucking his bandwidth.
Put in a Linksys WRT5GL running DD-WRT and enable QOS. Set the bandwidth to whatever you like,and the hospot users collectively will not use more than that setting.
