This is a feature request / idea: Please inform the SMs of a new channel and width when issuing a channel change! On my Mimosa gear, I can change channels and lose only 1 ping if any… so the actual channel change takes less than 1 second. I imagine they accomplish this task by informing the SMs.
On ePMP (currently in 4.6.2), channel changes take almost a full minute! I suspect this can be significantly improved simply by informing SMs prior to the actual change.
Yep, a bunch of us have been asking for this since the beginning of time. Nearly all the other gear we’ve used for the last decade or more could switch channels seamlessly.
Good news → Cambium is listening, they have heard, and it’s coming in the next version!
