We just received our first CMM Micro. Anyone have any idea why the 24vdc power supply isn’t weather-proofed or mounted in the CMM cabinet? If I have to mount the CMM on a tower, it seems a poor idea to not make the power supply equally durable.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
The Micro can be used up on a tower to reach beyond the 328 ft limit for higher AP locations. You can run a suitable cable (see CMM Mirco user guide) with 24V DC up a tower to power the Micro while using an 110V AC enclosed connection on the ground.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, we are in a situation where the owner of the property will not allow us to modify any existing power, so we are limited to outlets only. In the case of the Micro unit, we now have to find a separate place to mount the external 24vdc supply.
Are the tower owners outlets enclosed, or could you place a small building enclosure (14’ X 14’) at the power source?

Thanks. Fortunately, the outlets are enclosed so we can mount the p/s without any major problems.
