cnMaestro connect SM via configuration file

Hello,

I assumed it is possible to connect an SM to cnMaestro via a configuration file. In assuming this, I started looking at the config file to seee where I would add this information (ID and password). I found the fields for cnMaestro, but there are two fields that I am confused as to what information should be entered. The fields are: 


"cambiumDeviceAgentCNSIDToken"
"cambiumCNSDeviceAgentID"

I assume the AgentID is the Cambium Acccount ID, but what information is needed for the Token? Or, am I wrong altogether? 

Secondly, once an Access Point is added to cnMaestro, is there a way to force all  of the connected SM's on that AP to connect to cnMaestro?

Hi Shannon,

The parameters you need to use for connecting an ePMP SM to cnMaestro via configuration file or SNMP are (with device GUI label):

  • cambiumDeviceAgentEnable  (Remote Managment)
  • cambiumDeviceAgentCNSURL (cnMaestro URL)
  • cambiumCNSDeviceAgentID (Cambium ID)
  • cambiumCNSDeviceAgentPassword (Onboarding Key)

"cambiumDeviceAgentCNSIDToken" is not required.

At this time ePMP SMs cannot automatically connect to cnMaestro using information from the AP.
