No, 1.4.0 does not support a WiFi payment gateway.
The next version of cnMaestro is planned to include support for a Paypal Payment Gateway for WiFi Guest Access.
Is there a time frame for the next release, and is it a full version change (i.e. 2.0) or a supplmental 1.4.x or 1.5?
Yes it should be available in the next incremental update (most likely 1.5.0) which is going to be released by this month end or first week of May.
