cnMaestro Software Update tool bugs

I’m not sure if I’m missing something but when I do a bulk update of my access point firmware I leave the default 10 at a time option. I watch it slowly upgrade my whole site 10 at a time but then reboot all at the end! Surely it should only reboot 10 at a time??

Also if I use the schedule later feature to get around the above problem it completely ignores any time and gets on with the job immediately…

Anyone else experiencing this or am I missing something?

Hi @Rob_Fuller,
If “Perform sequential updates within a site” is selected:
Sequential site upgrade means - Device from every site will start upgrade parallelly. And reboot will happen site wise whenever all devices in that site completes upgrade.

Tried scheduling upgrade job, It didn’t started immediately in our env.

Could you please invite us to your account to find out the root cause.

Thanks Indra, drop me a PM with your email if you can take a look that would be great. Rob

With Indra’s help I found the setting via Sites this gives me the option for parallel. I selected 5 parallel updates at a time which it did, however as you can see from the screenshot, they still all reboot at the same time!! :man_facepalming:t2:

Hi Rob,
It is due to all your devices are under one site only.
Sequential site upgrade means - Device from every site will start upgrade parallelly. And reboot will happen site wise whenever all devices in that site completes upgrade.
Here you have all devices under one site, So firstly all devices got upgraded and then all devices went for reboot.

How do I feature request this to work on single sites? :+1:t2:

Hi Rob,
Currently there is no option which can help your requirement.
I will create an improvement (Customer-request) ticket. But the feature will be delivered in future releases.
