cnMatrix Release 6.1-r3 is now available at https://support.cambiumnetworks.com/files/cnmatrix/.
There are 2 binary files: one for the EX3024F and one for all other switch models.
Updating the switch software via cnMaestro requires cnMaestro version later than 5.2.0-r10, expecting in the 2nd-3rd weeks of February 2025. The switch software can also be upgraded using the Web GUI, CLI console, or USB stick.

What’s New in 6.1
- PIM-SM: This software implements support for PIM-SM on the following devices:
EX3024F, EX3052R-P and EX3028R-P. Support Rendezvous Point, and Bootstrap. - 802.1X authentication order. Prior to 6.1 the authentication methods order is fixed with 802.1x, then MAB. 6.1 allows changing the order, and select the authentication method on the port.
- DHCP Relay now supports configuring per-VLAN servers/IP helpers. Up to 5 helpers per VLAN. Relay can also be disabled on VLAN basis.
- Support for IPv6 default gateway auto-configuration using Router Advertisements
- The switch can now connect to cnMaestro using the IPV6 protocol
- ACLs can be applied to port channels
- Support 64 VLANs in PVRST mode
- Support 512 multicast groups for IGMP Snooping
- Support ERPS on EX3024F. ERPS is now supported on all cnMatrix models
- PBA enhancements:
New actions: DHCP snooping trust, STP portfast, exclude VLANs, 200 VLANs for Auto-VLAN
Time-of-day support - Energy-Efficient-Ethernet can be globally enabled/disabled. Prior to 6.1, EEE can only be enabled/disabled per port
