What is preferable for an open area of 25 * 50 m?
It really depends on where the AP is mounted. The e501s has an integrated 90-120deg sector antenna, whereas the e510 is an omni. If your AP is mounted in the middle of that open area, then you'd want the e501... if your AP is mounted in a corner or at the long end of the area, then the e501s would be a better option.

Since this will be a local area, and the installation of the antenna will be on the roof, no matter what the AP is, it will cover the entire territory (510 will also cover the territory from the back side due to the design features - since omni antennas are 360 degrees there). But in terms of reception parameters, the 501S AP is better, and it seems to me that this will be more important for the signal level.
