cnWave System Release 1.3.3 has been released

Release 1.3.3

In this release, a V1000-specific maintenance change has been added.

A small number of V1000 radio devices (with MAC address ranging from 00:04:56:8B:76:D4 to 00:04:56:8B:7E:CB) did not boot or were slow to boot at cold temperatures. As a solution, DDR parameters in the ROM partition have been updated in this release.

This change updates the V1000 radio to the latest version and ensures that the radio works reliably over the full extended temperature range from -40F/-40C to +140F/+60C.

Note: Cambium Networks advises to update all your radios to the latest 1.3.3 version

Release 1.3.2

Features

In this release, a new wireless firmware has been added. No other new features have been introduced.
The new wireless firmware contains optimizations to link acquisition for improved robustness and availability in networks with a high traffic load.

Other Enhancements / Improvements in System Release 1.3.2

In this release, following improvements specific to running of docker services in External E2E Controller have been made:

NMS Aggregator enhancements : The logging mechanism for the NMS_Aggregator service has been refined to optimise storage utilisation and enhance system reliability. This improvement reduces disk space consumption, by addressing a critical issue that led to 100% disk usage on /mnt/data. In addition, this risk mitigation improves External E2E Controller’s service uptime and system performance.

SQLite database (DB) enhancements : The SQLite DB storage has been transitioned from block devices to RAM. This DB transition helps to effectively alleviate the network buffer congestion and circumvent the latency, which is typically associated with disk-based operations. This enhancement also improves the efficiency and responsiveness of NMS_Aggregator service.
