Co-locate 5.2 AP and 5.2 Backhaul?

HI All,

I know the recommendations, but I already have equipment available
in 5.2. I am piping the network to a remote office 1-mile away using
an 5.2 extended BH. Now, the company wants the network installed across
the street from the remote end of the BH.

Because I already have a 5.2 AP and SM available, can I co-locate the BH
and AP at the opposite ends of the band and be ok?

Should I set the BH to master, generating sync and have the AP receive
sync?

Thanks guys!

Dan

We are currently doing this with a 5.7 BH and a 5.7 AP (located about 20 feet from each other on a tower), and haven’t had any problems. Bands are set at opposite ends, though.

This is in a planned community, so antenna restrictions are HUGE. I am
wondering if this is going to be an issue with the radios about 12-inches
from each other?

Just curious before I try this, did you get it to work???

Thanks

Plans changed. Bought a new 5.7 link to avoid any problems.
